EN ROUTE TO WATCH FC BARCELONA

My old contact from Fleet Street days, Graham Hunter, has become an authority on the European Champions, FC Barcelona. Ever since he moved to live in the city Graham has been able to travel Spain and the world reporting on the greatest football team of my lifetime.

In January Graham releases a book called: Barça: The Making of the Greatest Team in the World. You can order that book now via www.wordofsport.blogspot.com and, in 2012, also via this site.

Barcelona were far from great when i first saw them play in Spain. On a night of torrential rain several years ago, i saw them get thrashed 5-1 by Malaga. How times have changed.
The current FC Barcelona are a delight to watch. Iniesta, Messi and - my own footballing hero - Xavi; play football the right way.

They will have a fight on to win La Liga this season as it is clear to me that the success and pressures of recent years have resulted in some Barcelona players appearing jaded.
Real Madrid may pip them to the Spanish title this season, but that will likely come down to the matches between the two gigantic football clubs.

Graham is promoting his new detailed, informative and entertaining book via You Tube.
Here he is en route to a match with Barcelona fans.
An informative few minutes for those who are lucky enough to get a match ticket, or simply for those who plan to use the Barcelona metro.

  1. Yes, going to the game is part of the whole experience in Barcelona.

  2. Some interesting points!

I like the use of the word 'genteel' to describe the atmosphere at Camp Nou - this obviously has its positive side as there is a family atmosphere but strangely 100,000 people can be lacking in passion, particularly if you're high up. Sometimes you feel you'll get dirty looks if you shout to loud.

Excellent overview, though and I'll definitely be checking the book out!

  3. Hello,
If you are seeking to find houses for rent, houses for sale, flats for rent and anything else property related in the Spain area. YespanYa Property is your number one online website if you are searching for houses for sale, you can search by an array of dimensions including bedrooms and property type, you can also narrow your search down to price or amenities. On the other hand if you are looking to sell your house or flat in Spain, then there is no better place to list it then YespanYa Property, put your ad in front of millions of local and national buyers.
