FRIENDS ALL OVER SPAIN

In 2005 I went to Haro, La Rioja and met chess grandmaster, Stuart Conquest. Nice move!

In seven years of travelling Spain I've seem some stunning scenery and visited some memorable locations. But it's the people I've met who have fascinated me the most.

Spain is not all about expats who either run bars, or sit outside them all day long. There are some genuinely interesting British people living in the country who are not rich nor retired.

Many, like myself, have never worked harder or for longer hours in their previous, pre-Spain life.
While people in the UK may think every expat spends each day on the beach and every night sipping gin and tonic on their roof terrace; the truth for many of us is very, very different.

Here are three links to features I have written about some of those people I have met and interviewed since living and working in Spain.
